Education and Experience
Requires bachelor’s degree in Leisure Studies or related field from a DOE recognized accredited school and two years responsible recreation supervision experience. Previous aquatic program supervision experience highly preferred. Parks and Recreation Professional Certification and Certified Pool Operator Certification both required within one year of hire. First aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, automated external defibrillator certification, universal precautions and blood borne pathogens within six months of hire. Applicant must possess and maintain a valid Iowa Driver’s License. A criminal background check will be completed.
Salary Range: $45,094 - $57,200 annually
Hours: 40 per week; variable days and evenings

Starting salary $27,000 + DOQ/E with full benefit package.
Degree in Exercise Science/Wellness, Athletic Training, Physical Education, or related is desired. Prior experience in recreation/exercise programming administration and marketing considered in place of degree. Strong administrative skills a plus.
