The IPRA Sports Committee is pleased to announce information detail for the 2009 youth spot shot basketball program.  Local competition can be held anytime between December 1, 2008 through March 23, 2009.  Youth can compete in only one local competition.  Age divisions offered are 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13.  Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions as well.  Youth must compete at a local competition with the top two in each age/gender division advancing directly to the state finals.  State finals will be held in Grinnell, Iowa on Saturday, March 28, 2009.  Age division is based on the child's age when the local competition is held.  Child will then compete in the same age division at the local and state finals (e.g. a boy is age 9 when he competes at his local spot shot.  At the state finals, the boy will also compete in the boys' age 9 division)
